Today's Speaker
President Keith introduced our speaker,  Jennifer Foster and Taryn Power who are speaking about Kidsability.  Kidsability's mission is to empower children and youth with special needs to realize their full potential, working with families and partners to provide accessible, innovative care.  Jennifer reminded us that the Rotary clubs in the region have had a foundational role in the existence and success. The partnership started in 1922 driving kids to their appointments and areas to have specialized help- such as Toronto and London. It was known for a very long time as the Rotary Children's center.  In the past, our clubs' annual fundraising would always provide equipment for these families who couldn't afford the expense to buy this expense equipment to help manage their children's needs at home.  The Fun Run, that we did annually and still do more virtually, was done in collaboration with kidsablity.
Jennifer touched on their strategic plan as well as some of the heart waring success stories. Families coming from the challenging medical diagnosis to experiencing their children go beyond their limits with the support of KidsAbilty. They served 17000 kids in 2025 - they have pediatric therapy - speech, occupational and phsyio, Autism programs, clinical services for family, school and special education support and community outreach and services.  They foster possibility where families are given no to little hope and they provide for an innovative inclusive network of care so every child, youth and family can thrive.

If you  have not been for a tour - call Jennifer or her team at Kidsability and book one - you will be amazed and reminded how much great work Rotary does in so many areas in our community!
