Exchange Student from France

Julie Walbert is a Rotary Youth Exchange student from France who is proudly hosted by Rotary Cambridge Sunrise. Julie arrived in Canada on August 16th and has been embracing every part of her exchange with enthusiasm and curiosity.

She is currently attending Jacob Hespeler Secondary School, where she has jumped right into student life — joining the Drama Club and playing goalie for the girls’ soccer team. As a Grade 12 student, she’s taken on some new and uniquely Canadian courses, including Leadership and Powership, which have given her fresh perspectives and challenges.

Julie also shares her love of language by assisting the school’s French teacher, helping Grade 10 students strengthen their French skills — a contribution that has made her a valued part of the classroom community.

Outside of school, Julie is a passionate video game enthusiast and an avid baker, bringing creativity to both her hobbies and her exchange experience.
