Our Very Rajbir Mann was our speaker on Rotary International Foundation - he has done many humanitarian efforts globally and clean water is one of the areas of his passion.
We have to remember we have are lucky to have two Foundations - our own that we can use locally and Rotary International Foundation.
Our support Grants also come from this pool of funds - which is more recent and keeps all clubs engaged doing great work.
This Foundation is the most well run Foundations Globally winning many awards for its low cost administration and wide reach globally.
There are six areas that RI Foundation focuses on Globally - they are -
1.Disease Prevention/treatment - Polio Eradication
2. Water and Sanitation
3. Maternal and Child Health
4. Basic Education and Literacy
5. Economic and Community Development
6. Peace and Conflict Prevention and Resolution
How can you support our Rotary International Foundation - a few ways - you can contribute to good news much more knowing its going to all of those causes - become a member of a sustaining contribution either one time lump sum through appreciated shares, through your life insurance, your will or a direct donation. You can choose to do this annually. You can also NOW direct your monthly contributions to go to directly to Rotary foundation Canada - helping to support either on a monthly, annual or quarterly via visa or direct checking.
Why consider donating - its an amazing organization with many passionate people making a difference not only to their communities but Nationally and globally!
Todd thanked Past President Rajbir for his contributions to our club but Internationally as well - any questions please don't hesitate to talk to Rajbir.
