Todd had double duty today and was able to remember - yes his senior memory work is helping....the 4 way test without the banner - and gave a very nice invocation.

Today's Program
Congratulations to Rena on a fantastic year of ensuring we "
Create Hope in the World" on both a community and International level.
It used to be a tradition in our club for many years to not only celebrate the Presidents great year at the ball but have a bit of a Roast for the Presidents.
Something the board may consider moving forward - although we would have to add the disclaimers now a days to ensure we are politically correct.
President Rena talked about her year and mentioned how much of a challenge it was for her as she was not a natural public speaker - hard to believe the way in which she has handled all the meetings so well and made the year so meaningful for the club and members in many ways.
Rena having been community Board chair of our club for many years- she  really impacted the community not only for contributions to so many great causes, also our club's engagement in Langs, Foodbank and Coping centre to name just a few.
Her leadership was one that was dedicated in participating in everything - to being creative and innovative where she could to get Rotary's name out in our community.
There has been so much more collaboration with other organizations and fellowship opportunities-every month there was great engagement from events both Global and local with weekly community fellowship opportunities - 80's night for the foodbank, Christmas party, etc.
Many highlights and recognition for club members - Katie did an amazing job at organizing a beautiful meeting writing chq's to so many worthy recipients in our community - definitely a highlight of the year!
Porchlight, Foodbank, Humane Society, Domestic Violence, Food 4 Kids - Canada Day Parade - all club members could not argue that it really makes us feel great that we have the ability to make such an impact on so many ! These are the things that we work so hard for as Rotarians.
We can all agree everyone was always informed and the JOKES were definitely better - even with a little "sensorship"
Rena recognized at both the President's Ball and meeting that a strong Board is the backbone to a great year.
Being President is a great honour and also being asked to be President is the same honour - we have such a strong club and with so many wonderful synergies in our community, we are very much looking forward to the current President Paul's year and working together with him to make it memorable for our community as well as ourselves.
Congratulations to both Rena and Paul.
