Heidi, the Wicked Witch of the South (Paris) did the 4x test.  Mike Henhoeffer, our newbie did the Innvocation.

Nancy, also as Freda Khalo # Unibrow, # famous Mexican Artist that lived a challenging life,  said we had 18 Rotarians present although she felt the spirit of more members in the room.  OOOOh.
No guests except those in ghostly form. But Beverly Nykamp stuck her head in....boo.

Announcements
Freda K. said that we are collecting items of the homeless and needy (socks, long johns, mitts, wipes etc) to be delivered to the Bridges on Dec 5th. I don't think volunteers are needed for this.
There is also the Lang's Xmas dinner on Dec 11th. Paul the Joker is MC. We need some more volunteers for this date.
Lina in Disguise said the committee is working on our 100th Anniversary, 2 years away. There is the idea of a boat cruise.( Lets make sure the mast is not too long.) Some one will likely come and speak to us, maybe at the next Fireside in January.
Paul T,  as Mrs Doubtfire reminded us of our club Christmas Party on Nov 24th. It will be a blast with family and kids.
Wayne P., Super hero said that the Bridges is holding its first ever Trivia night at the Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre on December 2nd,
Here is a link if I can make it work. Wow it is a long link.

Club Opportunities
Always have opportunities at the club - talk to Pres Paul, Randy Cole, or any Directors to get involved.

My two bits worth: Talk to a fellow Rotarian at our meetings. I spoke to Rob Cox and found out he is from near Goodwood. (Schitt's Creek)  I lived just to the west of there.  It's up in the booneys and just north of 'shwa.  Wow.
Good news

Mike Henhoeffer said his Hockey Club has reached their financial goal for The Charity Tournament on November 22nd. Funds will go to Easter Seals.

Tom Everett said he was leaving with other Curling Club members on Saturday for Scotland. There are 18 curlers and they will be there for 3 weeks. No worries, the Scots will be lying in wait for you. The Scots are back here in'26...is that our 100th?  Ann Marie will be financial custodian in his absence.
Today's Program
Our all round good Witch and Mistress of Ceremonies, Heidi, put us through the paces in our ode to the spookiest night of the year. This worthy practice all began 2000 years ago with the Druids and Celts.
We had a trivia contest and groaned over lycanthrope and Plasmophobia. Mike H. got the highest exam score.
We had some great Halloween jokes.  What's a ghost's favourite soup....Goul-ash. ah ah ah.
Jim Johnson guessed the correct # of Rochettes. Now he has to eat them.
Tom the Ancient Rocker, won the best costume prize...a golden skeleton. Wow, Like winning an Oscar!
Thank you Heidi for an entertaining programme.
Kudos to the costumists? and cross-dressers. I would say Vanessa in her Nickelback jacket was the smartest.

Conspire to Inspire before you Expire!
