Today's Program
Jim McP - introduced our guest speaker Sylvia Morrison from Links Across Boarders

Sylvia's first move was to present Jim McP with a Helping Hands award, made of ebony (that's a kind of wood...) - When COVID hit, it was devastating to their organization - Sylvia had gone through her personal savings, but then Jim McP offered a sizable donation that was able to sustain them - thank you Jim!

Links Across Boarders:
- Co-create libraries in collaboration with stake-holders and beneficiary communities in Ghana
- Facilitate training programs, and empowerment projects to build community economic capacity.
- Support Teacher Capacity promotion through workshops, seminars, and material resources
- Support and facilitate Girl Empowerment programs
- Coordinate various international visitors (Group & Individual) programs to promote cultural diversity, and education
- Provide international (global) and local (Ghanaian) internship & placement opportunities for college and university student
-They even assisted in putting in a community's first toilet!
- Sylvia has also written two books  -
Life in a Ghanaian Village (link was too big, search on Amazon...)

One of Sylvia's favourite quotes is:

"If you ever think someone needs to do something about 'that' " - well, YOU are somebody!!

Nancy Y provided an incredible thank you to Sylvia for speaking to us - only to be out done by Todd L's incredible humour to wrap things up....
