April Albano from Business and Educational Partnership of Waterloo Region was the speaker today and helped the club understand all the important work they do within our region for public and high school students. They are located in the Chamber of Commerce pod area and they help engage youth and prepare for the world of work on career decisions-in partnership with parents, educators and our local workforce. They help faciliate thoughts on employment by hosting career expos, workshops, career conversations, Innovation and entrepreneurial expos, and help disperse some of the regions Youth Creativity Fund. Explore your future is another expo they run to help Grades 7-12 to chat about career and programs offered in those areas. These expos and programs also creates excellent opportunity for kids to network - which is also a great skill to learn early on .
