Announcements

Mike gave an update for a euchre tournament  which is now Thursday Jan 23 2025
Paul Codi  said the Childrens  Christmas party  was a success.

December 19 is our Christmas party.  Bring a wrapped 20 + gift  to enter the steal and go show.  Murray P is in charge of entertainment.

Lunch is likely buffet style.

Club Opportunities
Larry B is looking for speakers for the last part of Pauls year.  Also we need a bulletin editor for the second week of the month..   Pay and benefits to be negotiated.
Also we may need some of the 'backup Editors "to jump in and fill some bulletin spots through December and January. This will help Larry out with his meeting schedule etc.
Good news
Treasurer Tom has returned from Scotland.   Rotary canada won the month long competition,  Sadly there were many colds  caught during this event.  I have always found taking a bottle of scotch to bed helps.

Murray Pearson remembers when he went on this tour.   Murray and Ida returned from Spain  and avoided the rain.

Jim J  and Sheila are off to Bermuda
Todd reminded us that Harry Edgar is speaking a bout his time in Rotary next week

Rob Cox has been away helping his mother with DR appointments and i gather every thing is OK.

MattM has been busy with Football.  WLU won the Yates Cup over Western and Uteck bowl over Bishops'  Sadly came up short in the Vanier against Laval,     Im off to Cuba to golf next week.

Today's Program
Noah presented our Rotary Financial Statements.

Membership account is healthy as is the Charitable and foundation accounts.

The Financial statements were approved a motion by Keith Peers and seconded by Paul McMenemy

There was some talk a bout needing 80 percent of members to vote on a less expensive way of doing financial statements.    Unfortunately  this discussion is above my pay grade.

JIm McPherson told some Thanks giving  Jokes.

Prez Paul closed the meeting in the usual manner.

Happy USA Thanksgiving.
