Today's Program
Paul McMenemy introduced our guest speaker, Jasmine Frischkneckt, a Rotary exchange student hosted by Cambridge Sunrise.
She hales from an area of Northern Switzerland with an unpronounceable name. She is a Swifty and a Kansas City Chiefs fan
Christmas is one of her favourite times of year.
She told us about Switzerland. She speaks Swiss German at home and German German at school.
The Red Crosss was started in Switzerland, hence the Red Cross flag.
Cheese is a big thing in Switzerland. They have 100 names for cheese just like we have 100 names for snow and ice.
She gave us some brief language lessons and a few catchy sayings  like '" I think my pig whistles " loosely translated means ' you are full of ......'.
She attends Jacob Hespeler and says that Canadians Schools are more fun.  She has done a lot while in Canada and made new friends of Canadians and other exchange students. She likes Tim Horton's Hot Chocolate. Why, when she is from a country that makes the real thing?
Sounds like she is having a great experience.  She will be doing some language apprenticeship next year then back to university. Good luck, Jasmine. Thanked by Heidi.

No guests next week. Its the financials.
Paul M : Suzanne says he has two major faults. I didn't hear what they were. Maybe that's a good thing.
Rena:  Its Holiday Market at the Gaslight District this weekend. Also the Santa Claus Parade in Hespeler.
