Chad Gagne covered the following training items: 1. How to log your alternate participation for attendance on a missed meeting. To log your alternate Rotary activity such as a board meeting, district meeting, committee meeting, training, or spent a significant amount of time doing some other Rotary activity/work select the "MEMBER ALTERNATE PARTICIPATION" menu option which is located in the right top area of the member's website header www.rotarycambridge.ca. A form will come up in a separate tab for you to fill in your email address, name, location of event, event date, event description, and then hit the submit button. (Example answers - kgagne@astro-tech.net, Kim Gagne, Galt Country Club, 01/28/2020, Rotary Club of Cambridge PH Satellite meeting). A copy of your entered responses will be emailed to you and logged for use on your meeting attendance by the secretary. 2. You need to be signed into the website to access the learning center. Course material is provided in a variety of formats, including PDF and Word documents, interactive eLearning modules, and videos. Access to the Learning Center is on the my rotary website by selecting the LEARNING & REFERENCE menu option and then clicking on the LEARNING CENTER on the right hand side of the page. Once you find a course you wish to take, select it by clicking on it. This will open up and display information about the course, what is involved in the content and any training materials. If you are interested, then select the ENROLL button. When the enroll button is selected you will be notified that you have enrolled successfully to the course and then you have the option to close the message and start the course later, view all your courses that you are enrolled in or 'Let's Begin' that will start the course. Chad searched for the 'Rotary Basics' course at the top of the course catalog screen, and selected the course. As a group we all went through the Rotary Basics course on line with the interactive eLearning module and finished in about 15 minutes. Phew! we passed and Roger closed the meeting. |
