Helping Famalies who have a Child with Cancer

My name is Valentino Saturno, although I am known in my business as Val. 

I have been in the automotive retail business since 1988 and currently the Cadillac Brand Manager at Bennett GM on Hespeler Road.  

I lost my son on Feb 14th, 2016 to Synovial Sarcoma.  He was 26 years old.  He battled for almost 6 years but after 5 different types of treatments, lost his battle.  I woke up the very next day and thought that I had to do something to help other families that were going through the same battle as we did. 

The Ryan Saturno Patient Amenities Fund was formed within a few months and we began financially assisting local families that had a child 

going through oncology.  Since then, we have assisted over 85 families.  We are now known as We Fund Care.   This name more clearly explains 

what we do. 

Ryan was not only my son but my best friend.  We lived together and shared so much, especially sports.  Ryan was a sport fanatic who loved the Raptors, Blue Jays and especially the Pittsburg Steelers.  We attended many live sporting events together and loved life to the fullest. 

I have a daughter that is a teacher in Guelph and also a 2 year old grandson who has brought some happiness back into our life. 

I am now totally committed to We Fund Care.  The fund has created a legacy for Ryan and we plan to carry on that legacy for as long as we possibly can.
