Club Job Openings
Our club is in need of another Bulletin Editor. This is a once a month gig and there is power in this position. Editors are given literary license to write what they wish and carry out (literary) character assassinations at their leisure. Sense of humour is preferred. If you don't have one, we will happily share ours. One size fits all.
Program
Paul introduced MikeKasij who is the business development officer for Sutera.    Sutera runs a Dog Waste Program .

Their  containers cost$ 5290.  and $225 per pickup.

They are being used in the Waterloo region and a few other municipalities.
Every dog on average creates 300 pounds of waste every year.  This waste is not good for the environment.  A lot of it contaminates recyclables and in landfills turns into methane gas.
Sutera containers do not require special plastic bags.  I also heard they are odor less.
I am not sure what Sutera  does with the waste when  they get it.  I heard it was processed and turned into energy.
I was shocked to hear that 40% of dog waste is not picked up and apparently left on the trail behind Murray Pearason's farm..

New member Vince De Cicco thanked Mike for talking to us today  through lunch about   DogS***..  Anyway you had to be there.
I forgot but I assume we vaccinated 10 kids for polio.

President elect Todd closed out the meeting.
