Opening and Sgt at Arms Report
President elect  Heidi Pfleger chaired the noon meeting.  I can't tell much of what happened at noon as today was our annual curling bonspiel.  I was curling.     Treasure Tom was our host for the evening dinner.  Murray Pearson lead us in O Canada.  Paul McMenemy said the Scottish grace.   I forgot who read the 4 way test.
There were 12 teams of curlers at our bonspiel.
50-50 Draw

Paul McMenemy  smoozed people all day and raised a ton of money.   Caitlin McIntyre was the big winner and donated a portion back..  Thank you Caitlyn and congratulations.
Good News

Announcements and Upcoming Events
Paul McMenemy promoted our annual Veterans golf tournament on Monday May 11.    That week on the Wednesday May 13 Simcoe is hosting the first Annual Harold Shantz Golf tournament.  We had had a moment of silence and a toast to him earlier in the program.  Harold was a great curler and a supporter of our bonspiel.  He won as a skip both with and without a stick many times.  Harold also won the Can Am bonspiel  and represented Simcoe Canada at the Rotary Worlds in Scotland.

Program
I  forgot to take notes but I believe a team from Grimsby narrowly won the bonspiel.   John Jonas came and we auctioned off golf passses for the Galt Country Club along with Leaf tickets donated bye George Sczepski.  The most coveted prize was won by the team  of Neal Main, Caitlyn, Todd and Randy.  ( a one hour curling lesson)
President Chad  thanked Tom , Kim,  Kathy, Paul and John for a great day.

On behalf of all the curlers a thank you for a fun today.  It is great to socialize with every one.
