Larry had great  news - two birthdays and one is 28 years - definitely a celebration.

Murry P. daughter Andrea is involved in the Paris club where they take turns meeting at different locations and homes small and new club raised over $100k in their fundraising. It is a Satellite club of  Thursday Brantford Club

Yours truly ran the annual Lobsterfest for two years when I was part of the Brantford Rotary club....300 people lotsa fun!!

Erica put in good news as we both attended the Champs for Charity event and it was much more relaxing than last - especially for Jim

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

President Paul introduced our speaker today - Andrew Leith

Man of many talents that is for sure - Andrew is a business executive and owns a business and leadership development firm. Growing up on a Marina in Southern Ontario Andrew learned to respect the unpredictability of life on the water and developed a deep appreciation for life's ebb and flow. These early experiences inspired his nautical navigation principles that form the Foundation of Octant Executive Advisory Group. 

Andrew is also in process of writing a book which is almost finished entitled "Quantum Leaps" premise is overcoming Executive Overwhelm, leadership and high functioning Burn out.

He facilitates Business leadership sessions and  business coaching sessions - his passion is public speaking which has become an important avenue from which Andrew shares his own personal story and experiences on inclusivity, innovation and leadership. A few topics - Unlocking the Underlying Superpowers of your workforce., The Art of Sales: Unleashing your inner sales Warrior- are just a part of the topics and series of courses.

Motivational startegies are behind all organizational success and Andrew helps corporations and leaders realize that success by promoting creativity in the Boardroom and diversity in leadership.

I like acronyms as part of understanding ourselves and our leadership strengths and challenges.... SAIL - strategic- accountable-inspriational - likeable 

Andrew has many interesting startegies to help professionals and executives to reach their leadership destination by Navigating their own journey.

 

Adam did a great job thanking the speaker - hoping to get a discount for one of Andrew's session and Pres Paul also provided on of his memorable moments on hiring -   we immunized kids against polio in honour of our great HARD working Rotarian!
