Today's Program
Larry Brokenshire introduces our guest speaker Executive Director at Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation Lisa Short.

Lisa provided us so much information about public fundraising. Did you know 5 million dollars each year is community funded? The money is needed for equipment and upgrades in the hospital. The current need is for a new MRI. our hospital completes over 9000 MRI's annually and the equipment is ancient.

Friday March 3rd the CMH Reveal Gala will be holding an event at Tapestry hall 5:30pm - 11:30pm tickets are $250 each. contact Ryan for tickets rjansen@cmh.org or call 519.740.4966 x 2446

Lisa also provided a construction update. the current contractor is EllisDon and they are ahead of schedule. Lisa struggled to put that out there. There is a lot of interior work to be done but the completed schedule holds an early 2024 completion

The hospital has a service dog for the employees of CMH. her name is Ember and she takes her job very seriously. Her expenses are covered by the Lyle Hallman Foundation. They also fund the NEW Liver health Center which supports community members with liver failure. We can now care for liver patients in our city up until the transplant stage. Patients used to have to travel to Toronto for all liver appointments.
