Announcements
-
- The President's Ball is fast approaching on Thursday, June 20.  Exact timing will be forthcoming, but it's dinner and fellowship at the Cambridge Mill.
Let's all gather to give President Rena a big send off - Please let Todd L know your plans for that night (Free for members, $75 for guests)

Todd Lyons was given a Paul Harris  award from Cambridge Sunrise.

Todd is looking for help building some beds for a tree house at the Coping Centre.

Jim is doing a Lakeside tour of Pushinch Lake  between 10-4.  Drinks after at Jims.  I believe funds go towards dredging the Lake.

Paul reminded us that JUNE 6 was D day   80 years ago.  Please take a moment to reflect on what was accomplished back then.  Many lives were lost that day .  Alot of the freedoms that we have today that we take for granted might not be in place if the Nazis maintained power.

It is Pride month and Pride week in Cambridge.

Club Opportunities
Prez Rena says we are looking for  2 new  bulletin editors.   I havent been told yet that i am being relieved of my duties on the first week of the month yet.  So perhaps you are stuck with me,  I don"t have the best typing skills  nor the best memory, but as editor you have free reign to give your slant on the meeting.  It is great fun.

Please reply ro Rena.

Good news
Nancy is going on a holiday to Italy

Todd was humbled for getting a a Paul Harris award.

Paul thanked the club for the flowers he recieved when his sister past away.

Prez Rena had some landscaping  done from a group  called In Your Back Yard.. Highly recommended and for a good cause,

Today's Program
...Jeff Hunter introduced Carol Thormon and Tony Schmidt.
Jeff found out a few months  a go that Cambridge  Preston Canada Day Parade was in danger of folding and  Thought the club should know

Iam not sure how long this parade has been happening but the pandemic has created  a problem for its finances.  Carol and Tony are long term  residents of  Cambridge.   The parade is volunteer based not City run.  .  Bands that play in the parade  cost money..  ( think about the transportation cost  to come.)

They could use sponsors for a band  $ 2000.00 and also volunteers for the day  JULY 1

to volunteer
Please Google  Cambridge Canada 2024  Volunteer.

To participate

Google Cambridge  Canada day  Parade entry.

Prez Rena gave the officail thanks from the club

DR Tom and Paul both told jokes  to close the meeting.
