Today's Program
President Paul introduced our speakers.
John Higuera is a computer and systems engineer from Spain. He has taught professional multimedia development, video games and digital interactive experience  at universities in Columbia.
Andres Otalvaro seems to run the financial end of things ie developing companies that build VR training solutions.
( ouch! This makes me feel out of touch.)
Anyway, these guys won our Wilf Reich award which is given via Conestoga College.
The general idea of their system is to train local police through VR simulation to deal with situations of conflict and use less force. Think AI simulation teaching multiple de-escalation technigues.
They see police forces in Canada and US as a market. There is the issue of licencing in the different areas. They would like to see some revenue.
They were thanked by Erica.
Wilf would be proud.
Amanda Horn from Hespeler Village Ass'n is our speaker next week.
Todd took his daughter, Abigail out for breakfast last week. He reminded Abigail how he taught her and her sister not to be afraid of elevators.  We won't go into details. They usually take the stairs now.
Happy Easter and get your taxes in.
