Opening and Sgt @ Arms Report
Due to some significant snow, the GCC delayed opening until 5pm, so we met on ZOOM....

I should mention...   that numerous times during this meeting I forgot I was taking notes for the bulletin...  so, if I missed any opening details, announcements, good news, or speaker details, please forgive me!

With Pres Paul McM returning later today from holiday - Pres Elect Keith P started the meeting at 12:33 - with a very suspicious sounding bell ring....

PE Keith P did a great job on an off-the-cuff land acknowledgement

PP Rena read the 4-Way Test all the way from Costa Rica, and PPP Todd L added the invocation, all the way from West Galt

We had 12 members present, all appearing pretty 2-dimensional; the same way Randy always looks....
50/50 Draw
No 50/50 today - so no losers - we're all winners!
Announcements
Pres E Keith P reminded us of the upcoming Fireside on Thursday March 6th - this is a informal and social event - our regular meeting is cancelled that day, in hopes that all members will attend, and, hopefully bring a guest/friend along who you think would like to learn more about Rotary and what we do.  Food and refreshments will be available, along with information.

Rena H - reminded us of Boots and Bands on March 29th..It's all country, get out your western outfits!  There will be 2 bands and food a la Carte by the Lancaster Smokehouse Food truck.
We are looking for more auction items, and sponsors.  PLEASE share the website BootsAndBands.com on all your socials!!!!

Tickets now available at BootsAndBands.com

Friday April 25 - Not our event, but Rotary Sunrise is again hosting a Trivia Night - it would be great to put in a team or two!!!!

May 2 = Tacos e Tequila - SAVE THE DATE!!!
Club Opportunities
Larry B is looking for speakers for 2025. Please help him with some ideas.

Also we are looking for some bulletin editors and volunteers. ( for just about anything.)
Good news
- Larry B - had cataract operations on both eyes, and WOW, it has made an immediate and huge difference!

- Rena H - is having a great time playing with the monkeys, and talking about it with the parrots

- Dr. Murray P - is really enjoying Florida, and expecting some family in the coming days
Today's Program
PE Keith intro'd today's speaker, newer member Mike Henhoeffer

- Mike has a brother, sister, wife, and two boys
- has been a CA since 2026, spent some time at MNP, then left to be a Controller at a private company, but 18 months ago returned to MNP and is really enjoying the diversity
- REALLY enjoys being full service at MNP - if they don't do it, they'll find someone who will
- MNP strongly encourages community involvement - he's a board member for the Hespeler Village Association
- MNP is an awesome place to work; often socializes with the team there
- his wife, Lauren, surprised him one birthday by throwing him out of a plane...
- oldest son, Will, 4ish - he's the joker, the helper, and the hugger
- younger son, Ben, 2ish - he's the rambunctious one, and the tough little fighter
- parents, Paul and Roberta are in the construction business - this training resulted in a kitchen redo in one weekend...
- Mike is the oldest of 3 - Olivia is 4 years younger, and Matt is 8 younger
- Mike's winters always had an INCREDIBLE back yard rink, with 4' - 8' boards, lighting, everything you could want
- Strong supporter of Sick Kids in Toronto, after life saving surgery for Ben in the first minutes of his life
- used to play competitive ball hockey, but now, as he is so 'old' (wtf????) he plays beer league hockey with buddies...
- wine making is a big part of his...  basement - quite impressive little brewery down there!

Welcome Mike!!

PE Keith wrapped up the meeting - pointing out that he's 2 for 2 on finishing meetings ahead of schedule!!  Excellent job Keith!
