Good News

Tom S presented Larry Brokenshire with a small basket of golf balls. This is to keep him busy over the summer. Let me know if he needs more.
The Toddler ( can we still call him that after today?) went to Kitchener Rotary's 100th Anniversary and to the District changerover. He thinks Sonya will do a great job.
Heidi spoke about Kim who still works at Kelly Green Flowers. Kim has had many challenges in her life. She is on her second kidney transplant. We did a fundraiser some years ago to get her daughter Lauren a lift van. This has worked well. Kim still has a positive attitude inspite of her families challenges.
Paul and Suzanne are looking forward to a cruise in the Mediterranean. They are going with two ex-paratroopers and their partners.  Perhaps some para-sailing behind the ship?
Paul Cody said he was very happy with the way the President's Ball turned out. And he got himself a Paul Harris Award.
Rajbir was invited to a private event at our new Rotary President, Jennifer Jones' cottage somewhere down Windsor way. This event was to honour the in and out going  DGs.  ( hope I got that right)
Joke
No joke today. Hey Johnny, wanna buy a dead bird?

Announcements and Upcoming Events
Zoom at our meetings will continue but not today as Brian was absent.
Anne Marie was not at the President's Ball so Raj thanked her today for her efforts as Foundation Chair . It was a good year for contributions to the Rotary Foundation. Ray also presented her with a brand new award...the ' Rotary Spirit Award'.

Raj called on Todd to receive a banner and pin from the Jennifer Jones event.
Todd takes the reigns at midnight. For some people the year feels like its over. For others it is just beginning. That's why I saw Todd later in the day at Costco, stocking up on junk food!

Murray Pearson wants us to know that he still needs hosts for curlers coming over from Scotland. The dates are Nov 14,15th.  If you are going to host and have already said yes, please email Murray your contact info ( name address and phone#), also he would like to know the host's profession or ex-profession for matching.( if its legal.)

Club Job Openings
Our club is in need of another Bulletin Editor. This is a once a month gig and there is power in this position. Editors are given literary license to write what they wish and carry out (literary) character assassinations at their leisure. Sense of humour is preferred. If you don't have one, we will happily share ours. One size fits all.
Program
Rajbir introduced himself as speaker and spoke of his year as our Rotary President.
He felt he has had an incredibly supportive and hard working team.
He has tried to bring a 'broader vision' to the club ie The Crystal Drop Gala.
Rotary Foundation has had a good year .
And two golf tournaments in one year!
Raj looks forward to continuing our clubs involvement in more international projects. He has some up his sleeve as we speak.

Raj was thanked for a great year by Paul McMenemy.
Todd thanked Raj for bringing extra focus on International Issues to our club. At some point Raj received a good bottle of 12 year old Scotch. Raj's partner Kash received a bouquet of flowers for putting up with all things Rotary. So Raj and Kash started the Crystal Drop Galas in their basement in Windsor. Kash ran a restaurant at that time and  I suspect her cooking was a huge boost to the project.

Thankyou Raj. All the best to you, Todd. Have a Happy Canada Day.
