Always looking for a Bulletin Editor -  I see Todd did the bulletin last week so we could use help.
Good news
Erica T had a good time in Chicago and was happy with the Results of the pitch day.  Next year it will be in person.
Vince announced it is  Wills month.  I think lawyers  do it for free this month  but they probably get you with Powers of Attorney.
Dr Tom is having a birthday that he had forgotten about.   Found money on the plane while flying.  He spent most of it.

Vanessa partner is all better now.

Matt  M was surprised winner today of 5050
off to Cuba then grey cup in Regina/  accommodation found in Hamilton for next year Grey Cup.  Also on my way home a pallet lifter fell off the back of a truck narrowing missing my car!  Also almost side swiped close to home.  ( it is my lucky day
Today's Program
Vince De Cicco introduced Fazia Baig.. She is the Director of Equity, diversity and Inclusion for the \Region of Waterloo.

Fauzia did her best to explain the difference between Equity and Equality.    Imagine  3 boys  one with one with no shoes , one with one shoe  and one with 2 shoes.   If   the  government had 3 shoes to distribute then every one would get one shoe.   That would be equal.   Equity would give 2 shoes  to the boy with no shoes and one shoe to the boy with one shoe and no shoes to the boy with 2 shoes ( means tested would be the economic term)
Diversity  includes age, race, sex ,
Inclusion  ( how welcoming we are..  She thought we were a inclusive club.)

The law looks at things from  a equality point of view.  Treat every one equal..
To get equity a lot more to be done  as policy changes.
For instance  she used example of health care.  One nurse insisted she removed head scarf for x ray another one said it would not effect x ray  if she wore it.

Vanessa talked about policy changes at the hotel to allow different swimsuits.

I think we all learned something and had reason to ponder.

Paul Mc  thanked her for coming and Todd promised to vaccinate 10 kids for polio.
