Program 2 Dr. Tom introduced Mike Hintermeister . Mike spoke at our club a few year ago pre covid. At the time he was working on the James Bond movie. Mike is a machinest that works with IMAX . If you watch the credits you will find his name.. His job is to keep the IMAX camera working. In the Bond movie he was involved in the shoot in Norway and Jamaica ( supposed to have been Cuba) Even though the Bond movie was in the can one scene had to be reshot as Bond needed to to be seen with the most up to date IPHONE Some directors like to use the IMAX camera because of its detail. . It is noisy so it is best to be used in documentaries where there is no talking. One piece of trivia is stuntmen get paid for the number of time they shoot the scenes so they don't mind jumping in icy water as they get paid every time. Mike also explained a technique called green scene. I think. It is how they put Tom Hanks next to President Kennedy in Forest Gump. . Any way it is often used in all movies .
