Announcements and Good News
Announcements:
Tracy said Dec 11th was our White Elephant gift exchange and performance of the 12 days of Christmas. This a regular meeting time. Murray we need your vocal cords.
Dec 10th is the Langs supper where volunteers are needed to serve.  Supper is 4-8 pm.
Items for the YWCA Women's shelter are due Dec 12th, so the last meeting to bring robes, gift cards etc is December 11th.

President Keith said our Christmas Kids Party is here on Dec 7th. Bring Socks.
Also the group of 5 Rotarians will be meeting re President Elect and President Elect Elect. Both of which we do not have. Keith will be happy to field emails on this.

Good News:
Jim Johnson, self professed Luddite, got himself a new computer. Suhki helped him get it started and also built him and awesome website. If you want a website for Christmas, talk to Sukhi.
Also Jim and better half are fleeing back to Bermuda.
Paul McMenemy said he has never won the 50/50 draw here inspite of trying for the last 30 years.  So he joined the Hespeler Legion and won their big pot.
Jim McPherson as an idea for us to make money.  A $500 million law suit has been settled against Loblaw/ Zehrs for price fixing. You can participate in the spoils by going to www.canadianbreadsettlement.ca ( Say yes to ' did you buy bread). You will get about 50 bucks which you can donate to the shelter or foodbank if guilt is a problem.
Murray and Ida have just spent 2 weeks in Majorca, playing golf with German tourists.
Editor Tom and Janet are going to Australia to spend Christmas with family.

Club Opportunities
We are always looking for creative Bulletin Editors  -     Also a New PREZ for next year.   Talk to Keith.
We could also use someone in a red suit on a short term basis...ho ho.
Birthday news

Rena and Andrew, as above.
Today's Program
 President Keith welcomed Noah Jensen.
Noah walked us through last years financials ( to June 2025)
The motion to approve last years budget was unanimous. I think Keith will be sending out a short ' members only' summary.
Tom Everett thanked Noah. Keith thanked Tom Everett.  They run a tight ship.

Todd then shared some of the 100th Anniversary committees ideas for 2026.
In brief here are most of the ideas. Todd will send more details.
1/ Electronic Time capsule....Kids give a snapshot of what is going on in their lives, what they think and do in 2026.
2/ Booklet on Rotary. " Us over the years" Good bedtime reading.
3/ Grade 12ers write about the 7 areas of Rotary and are judged on their effort.
4/ Merchandise: Tee Shirts, commemorative disc.
5/ Duck race.  This might be a big one.  But would need to be coordinated with a City of Cambridge - Mill Race Park Festival. Not yet finalized by the city. Todd worries about river levels in May. Stray ducks will be the responsibility of the Ancient Mariners Club or the National Rifle Association.
6. The Hilborn Property which is owned by our Foundation. How about a cell phone tower with our logo on it?
7. 100th Birthday Party. This could be excrutiating. ( not my comment)
And don't forget we have all the regular events happening. We don't want to bite off too much.
Todd ( Keith ) thanked the committee.
Some jokes to end the meeting. Next week is Clayton's ' Who am I "  #2. Presently at home looking for his old power point.
Enjoy the season. See you next year.
