Reo & Seimi
Exchange Students from Japan & Finland

Reo Fukusawa (Ray-oh Foo-koo-sah-wah) is an almost 18 year-old Rotary Youth Exchange student from Japan currently living in Cambridge. He attends St. Benedict Secondary School and is sponsored by the Cambridge Sunrise Rotary Club. A passionate baseball fan, Reo is especially grateful to the club for funding his opportunity to play in the Cambridge Cubs house league. He is currently hosted by Milja and making the most of his Canadian experience. So far, his favorite things about Canada are watching the Blue Jays, going camping, and—most recently—trying his very first double-double!

Saimi Hartikainen (Sigh-ee-me Heart-ee-kai-nen) is a 17-year old exchange student from Finland. She is hosted by Rotary Kitchener and sponsored by Rotary Mikkeli, a rotary club from her hometown in Finland.  She is currently in grade 12 in WCI in Waterloo and living in Cambridge. She came to Canada in August and has spent over 10 months here already. Saimi has enjoyed Canada a lot, especially since she loves outdoor activities like running and snowboarding, recently running the Toronto Marathon. She is happy to be able to share more about herself and her experiences here in Canada.
