Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

Serena Gillespie is a recent graduate of Southwood Secondary School and a proud alumna of the Rotary Youth Exchange program, where she spent an unforgettable year immersed in Japanese culture and language. Her passion for global connection and cross-cultural understanding also led her to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) program in this past spring, and she will present more about her experience today. In September, Serena will begin her studies at Carleton University, pursuing a degree in Global and International Studies with a minor in Japanese, continuing her journey as a globally minded citizen and future changemaker!”
