Beginning with sales capacity, Russell quickly developed expertise in fostering connections, driving revenue, and understanding the unique demands of the golf industry. One of his most significant accomplishments was growing market share in Western Canada from just 3% to over 45%, a testament of a strategic approach and ability to connect with clients. This achievement led to a promotion and transfer to Ontario, where Russell was tasked with establishing a foothold and expanding Club Car’s market share and influence.
Throughout Russ’s tenure at Club Car, he held progressive roles, becoming General Manager for Eastern Canada. In this leadership position, he was responsible for leading business development, high-performing teams, and cultivated strong industry partnerships, including key relationships with the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) and the Ontario PGA.
After 25 Plus years of success at Club Car, Russ transitioned to Curtis Cab Company as Country Manager for Canada, working closely with dealers and corporate entities, including industry leaders like Kubota. This effort helped to establish strong partnerships and drive growth that positioned Curtis Cab for further success in the Canadian market.
Recognized for rhis leadership and business acumen, Russ was headhunted to join MTD Products as National Sales Manager. In this role, he led nationwide sales initiatives, strengthened dealer networks, and drove business expansion, bringing his strategic expertise to a new sector.
