Ontario Farmers Association, Six by Sixteen
Kaylee was born and raised on Coverdale Farms, a sixth-generation family farm in Halton specializing in the breeding of American Quarter Horses. She studied at the University of Guelph and graduated in 2017 obtaining an honours degree in Applied Human Science, Criminal Justice & Public Policy, and an honour Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Throughout University Kaylee worked on neighbouring farms harvesting and selling local produce, as well as herbs and flowers to consumers at the Burlington Farmers’ Market. It was there that Kaylee discovered her passion for educating consumers on modern day farming practices and promoting the sourcing of local food.
Shortly after graduating from the University of Guelph, Kaylee was hired by the Ontario Federation of Agriculture. She has been with the organization for 3.5 years and currently holds the position of Events and Programs Coordinator. Kaylee loves helping farmers with on-farm issues, answering agriculture questions, and meeting both farmers and consumers at tradeshows and events.
Outside of her OFA role she is a sunflower farmer, 4-H leader, pickle connoisseur, dog mom, horse mom and passionate AG-vocate.
