April Albano is the Executive Director of the Business & Education Partnership of Waterloo Region, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping young people build their path to rewarding careers in partnership with industry, education and their caregivers.

Throughout her career, April has worked at the intersection of education, business, and youth development through roles with Skills Ontario, the University of Guelph, the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, and now the BEP. She is passionate about creating opportunities that inspire young people, strengthen community partnerships, and prepare the next generation for success.

April recently led BEPs move to its new home at the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, strengthening the organization's connection to the Cambridge business community. Today, she leads programs that connect thousands of students each year with local employers, educators, and volunteers, including the Speakers Bureau, which brings volunteer professionals into every Grade 9 and 10 classroom in Cambridge and across Waterloo Region to share their career journeys and inspire students as they explore their futures.
