Dani is the Volunteer Program Coordinator at ShelterBox Canada. She manages over 130 volunteers across the country who support ShelterBox in their own communities to raise funds and awareness to ensure no family is without shelter after disaster. She attended Western University where she studied Health Promotion and developed an interest in the social determinants of health and international health systems. Dani pursued a career at ShelterBox Canada as she believes that shelter is incredibly important for well-being and is a basic human right.

Dani lives in Toronto and is currently working at home, during her down time Dani enjoys spending time with her family and doing DIY projects.

ShelterBox Canada is an international disaster relief charity that hand delivers the emergency shelter and tools that families need to self-recover after natural disasters and conflict. During the COVID-19 pandemic, ShelterBox is even more critical. We are currently responding in Somaliland, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso to provide families with individual tents where they can self-isolate and essential supplies, including cooking equipment, sleeping mats, and water filters.

It is a international disaster response initiative affiliated with Rotary
