Program
Roger Mann discussed some of the upcoming plans for the Satellite Evening club in regards to the speakers and the program. Some suggestions for off-site meetings have been Cambridge Gleaners, Lang's monthly dinner, Food bank, Craft brewery, Golf putting contest, Kidsability, informal friendship exchange and opportunities to partner with the Thursday lunch Rotary Club or International Clubs for potential projects to make a difference.
The focus of the meeting  was on the power of Rotary and leveraging the relationships within Rotary. Roger highlighted a great example with the Rotary Club of Playa del Carmen Seaside, Mexico featured in the July 2019 edition of The Rotarian magazine (page 53). Roger was involved in some of the projects highlighted and first of the big six deliveries for water purification will arrive in Cancun this week. It brought a good remembrance of the impact of Rotary and why as Rotarians we put forth the time and effort.  If we had a lever big enough we could move the world and Roger suggested Rotary is that lever. Your individual power gets multiplied.  Roger then had a round table of what the present members have felt what is the power of Rotary or how it empowers members. All Rotarians present shared their experiences on how Rotary empowers people, clubs, and communities.  Roger Mann closed the meeting by inviting everyone to come out on Tuesday July 9, 2019 for the next meeting.
