Opening and Sgt at Arms Report
President Heidi opened the meeting at 1235.  4 way test was done by Jim J.  Dean did an invocation.   Heidi toasted Canada and Neil said we had 13 members and 8 on line.  Two guests on line  were Ann Jenner & Tim Frey and 1 was live (Gary).

We also found out that Zoom works all the way up in the Yukon, who knew?

Good News
Jim Mc - his daughter just started at university, the start of another real estate genius in the making
Rena - her daughter just started her first job (I didnt get where, but I am sure she will tell you if you ask)
Matt - Can finally go visit his mother, who is soon to be 101 years of age.  I dont know about the rest of you, but I think that is pretty darn cool!
Tom - Made it safely to Whitehorse, letting us know that it was a great trip.  He is also building a wood shed. (probably a good thing to have in the Yukon)
Heidi - Had some weekend fun with a old roommate - A little 650 KM bike ride

Announcements and Upcoming Events
Perhaps the most important announcement was that Dean had an extra glass of wine in front of him and wanted to know who owned it.  He got a free glass of wine!

Mike T gave an update on the Roses campaign - while we are selling less than last year, the numbers are still pretty good.  Flowers are on sales through Sunday (yourroses.ca).  we are also accepting cash donations which does not end on Sunday.

Rena let us know that Sunday is another gardening day at the Coping center from 8 to noon.  Come for as long as you can

Heidi & Brian talked about boosting out Facebook presence, but I couldn't here much on Zoom unfortunately

Program
Ivana introduced our speakers, Anne Jenner and Tim Frey from the CMHA, Waterloo Wellington.

Anne and Tim gave us a presentation on employment services for individuals with disabilities.

It was a very informative presentation on the challenges and rewards of employing those with disabilities.  While I did take a bunch of notes, I also got their presentation which is attached to this bulletin as a link at the bottom (thank Mike Thomas), so you can read their words, not mine.

However, they did leave us with a few thoughts, one of which I particularly liked:

Look at someone's ABILITIES, not their disabilities

Jim Mc thanked the speakers and the meeting adjourned at 1:43
