Opening and Sgt at Arms Report
 - At precisely 12:46pm, I remembered it was my week to be doing the bulletin..  please excuse any over sights!!

President Heidi opened...   her last meeting.......  at about the right time.

Jim McMenemy read the 4-Way Test and President Heidi had us raise our glasses to Rotary.

We were a little light today with 13 (or 14?) members; we were minus Larissa P, the official counter
Good News
It was a GREAT DAY for Good News!  I hopefully remembered most, but somehow I doubt it...

Paul M - he is without supervision for the next couple of days - he believes Suzanne is going to stay with some friends for a couple of days ;)
Noah J - got 'half a hole in one'...  I think that must mean 2 shots?  Also, the length of the fairway was about a metre...  so...  ya...
Dr. Tom S - completed over 20,000 steps for KidsAbility!!!  Way to go Tom!!!   He'd planned on 18,000...   but accidentally walked in circles for a while
Mike T - has been enjoying 'Partake', a craft non-alcoholic beer brewed in Toronto, available at LCBO
President Heidi - booked a trip to Austria to test drive a new Yamaha
Dean B - hopes to be on a cruise in mid July, and hopes to get off the ship a couple weeks after that - here's hoping...
Jim McP - booked a flight to Victoria, and then will be hitchhiking down to the states
Rena H - I distinctly remember her putting up her hand for Good News, but can't for the life of me remember what it was...  Sorry Rena!
Todd L - Suzanne says hi
Jokester
Paul McM - well...  it was about a set of twins...  One was Jim, the other one was not.

Program
President Heidi then began her Year in Review!

And what a year it was - we witnessed a fantastic presentation of pictures, showing just what we, and Rotary, were able to accomplish in the 2020-2021 Rotary Year.
Some of the highlights:
- 44 of 48 clubs in our District continued meeting with Zoom throughout the year
- RI provided $7 million in COVID relief to poorer countries
- RI raised $408 million for the Foundation!
- we had 16 real life meetings, out of 50 total
- many of us helped out at the Coping Centre twice
- Jenifer Jones, a Canadian, was chosen to be the first female RI President, in 2022-2023
- Roses had a great year at 462 dozen, beating our goal by over 50%
- we had our first Wilf Rieck Pitch Day - a great success, thanks to the Erica's T excellent effort and persistence.
- Toasty Toes was again supported, thank you Rena
- Linda B and Ivana S did an AMAZING job with our on-line auction; blowing our initial goal of $10,000 out of the water by hitting $40,000!!!
- Lang's Christmas Dinner was a blast, with tonnes of us helping; special note to Jeff H, Santa John J, and MCs President Heidi and Paul McM.
- Ivana S really came through helping Roger and Rena with a grant application, changing $8,000 into $16,000
- we raised about $7,000 for Coldest Night of the Year - thank you Rena H
- we added 5 new members!!!
- Unfortunately, we lost Dave Sopha, but will likely continue supporting his initiative Portraits of Honour
- Internationally, we support projects in Mexico, Malawi, and Guatemala
  - AND Roger was instremental in sending over $120,000 from 7080, over $250,000 from Zone 28 to assist India with COVID response

President Heidi then signed off, with a huge thank you to all members; being President is a real fun and rewarding experience - especially when you're in a club like ours  :)

Great Job President Heidi!!!

So....  are you doing the bulletin next week?  It's a freebee :)
