Jokester
Paul McMenemy was in fine form today - I thought the low laughter level was more of an indication of people not getting the joke than the quality of said joke..   it was quite funny!

Program
Our guest speaker Cheryl Schiller was introduced excellently by Jeff H (you had to be there....) to tell us about Cannabis

Most of you probably won't find the science behind it all that interesting...  so I'll I'll try to briefly summarize the high points:

- Cannabis contains CBD and THC
- CBD has some huge bennefits to our mood, how we eat, sleep, relax, forget, protect, pain perception, and inflammation
- CBD does NOT affect your mind/judgement
- CBD does work more effectively if mixed with very small amounts of THC; our body is then more receptive
- THC is the psychoactive side of cannabis, but if regulated carefully/properly, you can have all the benefits with pretty much none of the negatives

I think the one big takeaway - if you are affected negatively physically or emotionally, it is worth speaking to someone like Cheryl Schiller to see if any of her products could be of help.  Some doctors understand this kind of treatment, others do not.  Cheryl has had extensive training and real life experience (treating people).

Paul T.C. thanked Cheryl for the presentation, followed by President Heidi.

Join us next week for our visit from District Governor Mike Lawrie as he brings greetings and news from the District and Rotary International.
