Roger spoke about Shutter Box .  Apparently Rotary Burlington North has been involved.  My understanding is they drop emergency supplies in to a disaster area.  Haiti comes to mind.  ( forgive me but all I could think of was the scene from WKRP where they dropped  live turkeys from a helicopter.  "Honest I didn't know they couldn't fly"

President Rajbir introduced Jayne Herring who is a Trustee for the Waterloo School Board.

Jayne informed us that the Waterloo School Board is one of the largest in the province..  There are over 64000 students combined.    7 % of students for various reasons have signed up for on line learning.
Secondary students will  be allowed to leave the school during lunch. They will also be allowed to use their lockers.

Music and art teachers will rotate through the  grade school.

Alot of money has been spent on ventilation systems over the summer.

She also spoke about Cambridge Poppy Project.    Knitted or crocheted poppys have been solicited from around the world .  The will be displayed at various spots in Galt Hespeler and Preston.
Poppys can be worn  October 29 through to noon November 11

Roger gave the official thanks for Jayne speaking to us today.
