President Heidi opened the meeting at 12:31 - brand new member Vanessa read the 4-Way Test for the second week in a row.

Linda B  was filling in as SA and reported 20 members and one guest District Governor Dr. Mike Lawrie.

None today. along with no golf.

Todd Lyons  got vaccinated.

 

Dr.  Tom was happy one of his sons and family are now in Australia in Sydney quarantining in a luxury hotel .  His company is picking up the tab thankfully.   Accommodation in Sydney is very expensive as I recall.

Paul McM was in fine form today   and in the trivia section of the meeting Keith Peers dueled  each other with some questionable jokes.

Helping out our two ' Speaker Seekers' . Coming up with a good speaker every week is no easy task.

  Before our trivia program Erica hared a picture from 2013.  Many members Dennis B, Chris Wood, Maurice, ,Erica   , Karen Stewart , along with Wilf Reick attended Rotary convention in Lisbon..    Some where in Lisbon in a park they found a statue dedicated to Paul Harris and took their picture.  ( Erica also  learned how to drive a rental with out reverse gear. )

 

Erica , Karen, and Chris Wood also attended Montreal convention  perhaps we will see some of their pictures from then..  In all seriousness  Rotary trips are a lot of fun. I attended Tanzania and Dominican Republic.  Both were a blast.

 

   President Heidi missed the best part of the meetin while she was breaking in to her neighbours house because her internet went down.  Paul and Keith did a mini battle of jokes. 

 

Lance  aka Paul McMenemy won. the trivia contest. .  It helped if you knew a lot of obscure Rotary facts.  

 

I am not sure  if any one thanked President Heidi for her trivia contest.  Perhaps in June at year end we all should thank her and arm wrestle 10 kids from Pakistan and Afghanistan and give them their polio shots.
