Opening and Sgt @ Arms Report
PAST President Todd opened the meeting at 12:30 pm. Jim Mc recited the 4-Way Test and Ivana recited an invocation. SAA Jim J let us know that we had 14 Rotarians in attendance and we had 3 guests; Jeff Hunter, Jocelyn Maurice (sp?), along with our guest speaker on Zoom, Stephanie Christensen.
50/50 Draw
This week's losers were the man himself, Johnny Smooth and Heidi.  There are only 8 cards left, so the winner will be in the month of September for sure.  We all might want to consider attending each and every meeting for a chance to win the ever growing jack pot

Colour requests can be made (but are not guaranteed) under "Additional Notes."  Link to order is Rotary Roses - ROTARY (rotarycambridgeph.com). Please remind anyone you know making an order to include you as the member (under Rotary Contact) in order to tag the order to you.

Rajbir announced a trip to Mexico in conjunction with our International Services Committee.  The trip is being planned for late October or early November.  There were flyers distributed and you can reach out to Rajbir for more information.

Club Opportunities
We are currently looking for another bulletin editor and welcome aspiring writers looking to do light-hearted character assassinations (optional, but encouraged). Contact President Rena if you want to join the Bulletin Fold.

Good news
Ivana 2 years ago , Ivana had a cancerous kidney removed and this week she received VERY GOOD news that she remains cancer free.

Heidi bought a new bike (I am pretty sure its a "motor" bike and not a "pedal" bike) and she will also be going on her annual Austria trip (without her new bike I believe).

Vanessa's hotel won an award in May and, as a result, she and the hotel will be featured in October's issue of Insight Magazine!

Today's Program
Rajbir Introduced our speaker, Stephanie Christensen, filling in for an ill colleague.  Stephanie is the Executive Director for Shelter Box Canada and a career humanitarian professional.

ShelterBox provides shelter, essential items and technical assistance to help some of the world’s most vulnerable people recover and rebuild their homes after disaster.

They started out as a Rotary International Grant project in the UK and continue to be a Rotary partner for emergency situations around the globe where Shelter is an urgent need.

"The partnership between Rotary and ShelterBox has provided a place of refuge to people facing some of the most difficult and uncertain moments in their lives."

John Hewko, 2011 – present Rotary International General Secretary

Visit their web site at shelterboxcanada.org.  There you will find a Rotary Action Tool Kit, and become a ShelterBox hero

Rajbir presented (virtually) and check to Stephanie for $1300!!!!

Paul Mc thanked the speaker, although Rajbir, with Todd's help, tried to butt in
