Good News

Dr. Tom attended a  Canadian citizenship ceremony for an in law.  He found it quite moving.

Vanessa mentioned that her hotel often hosts refugees when they first arrive.  Many are very grateful,

Pres Rajbir mentioned that he attended a citizenship ceremony for a former employee.     He forwarded it to him many years later and he was very appreciative of the photo as it had been lost.

First Day at the Seniors Complex

On her first day at the seniors complex, the new manager addressed all the seniors pointing out some of her rules:

The female sleeping quarters will be out of bounds for all males, and the male dormitory for the females.

Anybody caught breaking this rule will be fined $20 for the first offence.

She continued " anybody caught breaking the rule the second time will be fined $60.

Being caught a third time will cost you a fine of $ 180.

Program
President Rajbir introduced Titi

Titi  full name is Titilayo Akinsola .  She prefers that we call her Titi.

Titi was born in Nigeria and moved to Canada in 2017.  Her husband had been in Canada for 17 years.   They married in 2012 and have 4 boys.
Her  educational background  was computer engineering degree obtained in Nigeria.
Titi started volunteering at a young age. Her first contact was with Rotaract back in Nigeria  when she was in high school..
In  Canada she started volunteering in the health care sector.
She started her own company TIMOK CARE.  She has a clothing company but I missed the name.   We are in good hands as she is  also a First Aid Instructor.
She moved to Cambridge in 2021 and is very much looking forward  to volunteering to give back to her  new found  community and make new connections.

We all look forward to seeing each other next week. Vanessa thanked our speaker for sharing and Pres Rajbir  closed the meeting.
