Program
Our guest speakers, Samantha and Mark Hurwitz, were introduced by Jeff Hunter. Their bio is long and I'm sure you have read it in club runner. Samantha is Chief Encouragement Officer at Flip U and Mark is Chief Insight Officer at Flip U.

They spoke about the concept of ' Flip Personal Operating Manual'.  Leadership is only half the story. The model of leadership and followership is set out in their book.  For full potential, we need to recognize both roles in an organization. Teaching about followership is a novel idea.

We did breakout groups. Hey, it has been a while since I did that. Paul M. Randy, Vanessa and me. Not exactly sure what we were to do. We acknowledged the pet peeves of too many emails. Paul M. said it is a negative thing if an employee does not look forward to seeing the boss. There are good and bad bosses ( we said). A good boss increases productivity. Mark Hurwitz said that a bad boss isn't always the culprit, it could be the dynamics of the organization. Giving recognition and positive feedback is important.
Linda B. ( from her breakout session) said that it was important to do what you say, communicate and be more involved. Samantha Hurwitz asked why she wanted those things.  Mark Hurwitz said it looks like you are always following up on what others promised.

If you want to contact Mark or Samantha email Samantha@flip.university.  And you can probably get a copy of the Flip Personal Operating Manual pdf.
Thanks Mark and Samantha.

Have a good Victoria Day Weekend. Flip U very much!
