Program Satellite Club
Unfortunately our guest speaker Tiffany Roschkow from Junior Achievement was still stuck in London with a car that wouldn't start waiting for CAA and couldn't make the 5:30pm meeting. Roger Mann introduced our virtual speaker Jennifer Jones (Rotary) speaking about End Polio Now for a TedxPurdueU talk. The youtube video can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28RMR8MnwDQ (16 mins). It was a great video about Rotary's long-term, sustained battle against polio that has defined our organization for decades. Working to eradicate a disease is no small task and involves major challenges. It is not simply the eradication of Polio. What we were able to do was to put into place a public health infrastructure that can tackle all kinds of diseases and this will be the larger legacy out of the project. What Rotary does for Polio does matter, what we do does matter. Roger Mann Closed the meeting.
