Opening and Sgt at Arms Report
Ho Ho Ho! Our very own Santa opened the meeting.
President Heidi welcomed us to the last meeting of 2020.
Roger did the 4 way test without looking.
Larissa was SAA.  19 Zoomers including Chris Wood. Welcome back Chris. Recent thin attendance attributed to babysitting and cottaging. Yea, I know what looking after two little kids is like.
50-50 Draw

None today.

Good News
Ho Ho and lots of it.
Roger said he ha has done some drive by visits to his family keeping them safe.
Paul Cody has made Chocolate Chip cookies.
Heidi said she has a great butter tart recipe. She promises to bring some tarts so we can sample.
Chris Wood said that she and hubby are getting new snowmachines for Christmas. Wow. Skidoo brand. Wally's machine is a turbo and can break the sound barrier. They will be doing the skidoo road up to Cochrane and back in February. Hoping for some good frosts so the lakes are good and solid.
Dino and Olga have moved to Woodstock. Thanks to Paul T Cody for managing the real estate end of it. Their 23 year old African bird has safely made the move. Can it recite the 4 way test? Bring it to Rotary some time.
The grand kids took Murray Pearson shopping at a Dollar Store. They loaded up on Christmas presents and grandfather paid. That part of Murray's family are staying up at a cottage on Baptiste lake. That is close to Todd's Dacha.

Jokester
Heidi did a very good Christmas joke at the opening. What is different about the Christmas alphabet?.....it has No Ls in it.  ( = Noel, for those Rotarians topped up on Christmas Cheer).

Announcements and Upcoming Events
Santa had some announcements. Bless his heart.  The Elves are working hard. He knows that Paul ate all the cookies he made. Better crank out a new batch. Santa wants cookies and Baileys. Santa had a joke too. What do reindeer hang on the Christmas tree? Horny decorations. Ho Ho Hoooo. Well Santa, you just might be getting a lump of coal. That joke is a bit of a stretch and also R rated. R= Rotary.

As this is the last meeting of 2020 Heidi recounted some of the good work  this club has done. Ho Ho, she will not be getting a lump of coal. Heidi's mission has been to build a strong club in a difficult time.
Roses and Big Give Auction worked out really well thanks to members hard work.
We did a community grant to assist feeding 130 people via Langs
The Toasty toe sock campaign.
The Bingo Fund ( thank you Todd) has funded air filters for Kids Ability. This in lieu of the Superhero run.
A donation from our Club to help fund a hospital in Guatemala.

Heidi put together a festive video clip for us to watch. Part of it was a series of photos of us Rotarians enjoying ourselves. ( R- rated). Love to see more. And Murray provided us with a video clip of ' Harbourtown Sound '  Ho Ho, your editor loves this, He can sit back and have a coffee. No need to take notes.  But there was a fat looking Elvis Elf performing one of the King's songs.
Harbourtown Sound had been planning to perform live for us but Covid kiboshed that. It is a tough time for choirs and feel free to make a donation to this choir. Here is a link to the video clip: harbourtownsound.ca. You will see Murray in it.

Thanks Heidi.
Thanks Santa
Thanks Murray.
See y'all in 2021. Enjoy.
