Program
Kim introduced Peter Cimmins from the  Sunrise Therapeutic Riding & learning Centre (sunrise-therapeutic.ca).  The bio was far too long to write down...

The mission of the Sunrise Therapeutic Riding & Learning Centre is to develop the full potential of children and adults with special needs and lead them closer to independence through therapy, recreation, horse riding, life skills, farm related activities and education programs.

The Centre was founded in 1982 with 5 riders and 3 horses and it now serves up to 145 people per week and 3,000 riding lessons, with 250 active volunteers.

Their programs include therapy programs, Camp Sunrise, and Life Skills Day Program, among others.

Peter took us through their upcoming expansion initiatives where they will be looking for funding partners as they expand their ability to support children and adults with special needs.

We will look to book a time where we can all go visit the Centre when appropriate.

Tom thanked Peter and Ann for their presentation.
