About Paul Rak
Paul is the president and owner of VeriForm Inc., a metal fabrication company in Cambridge, Ontario, and a member of the Regional Sustainability Initiative in Waterloo Region. He has spoken at over 80 events and conferences since 2006, both in the US and in Canada, on topics pertaining to sustainability for businesses and the many benefits of going green. He established VeriForm more than 24 years ago and has created additional ventures in the metal fabrication industry, including a laser cutting company and a division within VeriForm, named VeriCut Inc, which is exclusively focused on building downdraft steel cutting tables. These tables are as long as 200 feet and are for large equipment manufacturers such as ship builders, nuclear waste disposal systems used in the Chernobyl cleanup and helicopter guidance systems for 22 countries around the world. Paul has studied Business Management and Quality at the University of Waterloo, and prior to that he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The University of Western Ontario. In his spare time, Paul is guided by his passion for music and has served for 7 years as the Fundraising Chair for Suzuki String School of Guelph helping increase their Endowment Fund from $22,000 to over $800,000. And in his home life you can find Paul either indoor rock climbing with his daughter, trail running with his 2 dogs or traveling with both his wife and daughter on weekend trips across Southern Ontario and Upstate New York. And once the word Covid-19 becomes a thing of the past, their next trip will be to Singapore and Malaysia.
